It's been a long time since i've studdied about him but if you want i can try to tell you some things that i remember. ((cause i'm still half asleep here. Razz

Gichin Funakoshi was the Father of modern day karate known as Shotokan. He studdied it in the dojo called 'the House of shoto' that his students build for him to pratice his karate. He loved Poetry and loved writing it so he used "shoto " as his Pin name instead of his own.

What kind of meditation do you guys do?
Mine is Zen. It's from the Zen Buddhism.

We do all the types of meditation really. from Zen Meditatoin to Mantra Meditation.

So we go through Zen, Charka, Buddhist,Raja Yoga, and Mantra Meditation.:D so mostly all kinds.^_^

Zazen only means "sitting meditation" and Zen is the meaning of "spiritual experience"

Oh it's indeed a real meditation, I only don't know how you are practising it. I have got a sensei who has his strict rules and orders.

We have a tea ceremony, a recitation, 20 minutes sitting-meditating, walking-meditation and again 20 minutes sitting-meditation. It takes 1 1/2 hours.
I love it.

*walks over behind nouran and bends down* just close your yes, let your body flow as if your were in the river...*puts hands on her shoulders* let your soul guide you, breath in and out slowly, after letting your body flow with the breeze, move your hands very slowly and think of a happy place....just like as if you were ready to drop back.
