Angie the firechickThis fanfic takes place right after they meet Cassie and a while before they meet Coco. And during the Battlenexus.

It's break-time during the Battlenexus, and Mikey decided to take a walk around the village, as the Daimyo had given them some time to rest after their first battles. He walked through the village, and entered the darker areas. " It's pretty quiet around here... Everybody's at the arena.." he though to himself. After a while he sat down on a bench and just smelled the fresh village-air.
" Hiiiiyyaaaahh!!" a voice yelled, and suddenly two katanas hit the wall on each side of Mikey's head. Mikey screamed in horror, and looked at the two katanas. He didn't move nor breath.
" Jeez, pal, you scream like a girl." a voice said. Mikey looked up, and his eyes met a pair of emerald green and actually really beautiful eyes. " Uhhhmmm..." he said. The green eyes belonged to a human girl his age and height, and she couldn't help laughing a little. She grabbed around the katanas, and pulled them out of the wall and put them back into their sheaths. " Dude!! You scared me almost to death, girl!" Mikey said, and finally relaxed a bit. The girl just giggled. " Who are you, anyway?" she asked. Mikey got up, and introduced himself. " Mikey? That's your name?" the girl asked, with a smile. Mikey nodded. " Aww, that's adorable!" the girl said. Mikey blushed. " Whoa...Nobody's ever said that before...Thanks, uhhh.." " Angelina. But you can call me Angie.
That's what my friends call me." the girl answered.
" Angie.. I like that." Mikey said, and grinned.
" You're in the Battlenexus?" Angie asked. Mikey nodded, and looked at Angie. " Are you?" he asked, and Angie shook her head. " Nah...I'm not ready to compete, I just like to watch....But, uhmm...I kinda got a little lost in the village...." she said, and turned red. Mikey smiled. " Hey, no worries. I can walk you back to the arena." he said. " Really? Thanks!" Angie said, and then started walking with him back to the arena.
The two teens talked all the way back to the arena.
Mikey saw the others, and got worried. " Oh no! I'm missing my next round! I gotta go, Angie, or I'll be too late! I'll see ya later!" he said, and quickly ran into the arena. Angie giggled, and watched him run like crazy.
She then went up to the place she usually sat on while watching the Battles. " There you are." The Daimyo said as Angie sat down beside him. Splinter saw her, and smiled. " So you are the FireGuardian?" he asked. Angie nodded. " My name is Angelina, but all my friends call me Angie. And you are....?" Angie looks at Splinter. " I am Splinter. It's nice to meet you." Splinter answered. Angie gave him a friendly smile. " Nice to meet you too, Splinter." she said, and then turned her attention to the arena, where the rounds had begun. " Angelina is one of my finest warriors." The Daimyo says. Splinter looked at his friend. " Oh?" he asked.
The Daimyo smiled. " A couple of years ago she was found unconscious outside of here. My healer took her in, and she regained her strength. I decided to let her stay and train with my warriors. She has evolved great, and is my best warrior." the Daimyo told him. Angie smiled, and watched Leo and Usagi spar.
" Why aren't you competing?" Splinter asked Angie.
" I don't like fighting just to show off. I only fight when I feel threatened." Angie answered, still looking at the fight between Usagi and Leo. Splinter smiled, and also focused on Leo's round. But then suddenly Angie noticed something heading towards Leo. It hit him in the neck, and right after, he fainted. Splinter was shocked. " My son! No!!" he yelled, and got up quickly.
Don jumped down in front of Usagi. " I suggest you get your paws off my brother!" he said, holding his bo ready. " Please. I only wish to help Leonardo." Usagi said, while helping Leo stand up. " But.." Don started.
" Donnie...It's okay..." Leo said in a weak voice. Don looked worried, but gave in, and followed Leo and Usagi to the healer's pavilion.

Angie watched them walk towards the pavilion, and also saw some shadows moving further ahead. She got suspicious, and snuck out and headed towards where the shadows were hiding. She was a skilled and stealthy ninja, and had no difficulties hiding from them.
